Mission MomVet™ is an emerging initiative supporting Post-9/11 veteran mothers in early motherhood who are navigating the intersection of life after military service, mental wellness, and motherhood.

Military Transition. Mental Wellness. Motherhood.

Sometimes one transition begins before another ends.

Leaving military service can reshape identity, purpose, community, relationships, routines, and career. Becoming a mother can transform many of those same areas all over again.

Why Mission MomVet™ Exists
Women veterans should not have to separate their identities as veterans, women, and mothers to find meaningful support.

Our Mission

To support Post-9/11 veteran mothers in early motherhood who are navigating military-to-civilian transition, mental wellness, and motherhood through peer connection, wellness education, resource navigation, and community.

Mission MomVet™ is currently building its founding community and developing pilot programming.

Support that recognizes the whole woman.

Military Transition

Finding purpose beyond the uniform.

Transition does not always end when military service does. Mission MomVet™ creates space for women veterans to rebuild identity, confidence, community, purpose, and connection in civilian life.

Mental Wellness

Supporting the woman behind the mission.

Mission MomVet™ promotes mental wellness through peer connection, resilience-building, education, resource navigation, and connection to appropriate professional support when needed.

Motherhood

Because becoming Mom is a transition, too.

Pregnancy, postpartum, caregiving, and raising young children can reshape identity and daily life. Mission MomVet™ creates room for veteran identity and the realities of pregnancy, postpartum, and early motherhood to be understood together.

Founder Story

While reshaping my identity after military service, I was also learning how to navigate family life and a maternal role. That experience deepened my desire to become a mother myself.

I believed motherhood might provide some of the purpose, connection, and belonging I was searching for after service. Instead, motherhood introduced another profound transition.

I began to see how military transition, mental wellness, and motherhood could overlap—and how easily women veterans could find themselves between systems of support.

Mission MomVet™ grew from the belief that we can build a bridge between them.
